Getting Organized with Neat Method

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a blog post. I don’t have a lot of excuses, I guess just life and inertia. Instagram has felt easier to keep up with, but I want to try to get back with occasionally blogging.

Inertia is also to blame for me putting off organizing my closet/dressing room for so long. It’s not that I’m incapable of organizing, I just haven’t had the energy or made the time to deal with it. I still had jewelry and makeup in boxes after moving out of the basement 5 months ago!

So I finally gave up trying to do it myself and hired professionals. One thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older is time is money, and if you have the means, it’s OK to outsource things that don’t bring you joy or cause stress. This is why we hire a house cleaner because I HATE cleaning and while my husband doesn’t mind as much, he accepts we don’t have the time to keep up with it.

So I finally gave up organizing my dressing room and our bathroom myself, and brought in some professionals. I worked with Neat Method to get these spaces in order, and I’m so happy I made the decision to hire them. Rachel and her team did such an amazing job and organized things in a way I would have never thought of! Finally I can walk into my dressing room without feeling stressed, and I realize how much space we actually have in the bathroom and linen closet once optimized! And I even have room for new clothes, ha! I also have new ideas for organizing our pantry and utility room now, which I think I could tackle myself, or I may just bring in the big guns again if inertia gets in the way.
