I haven’t forgotten about NOURISH

This project was intended to have two sides, NEST and NOURISH, but I haven’t given much attention to the nourish side. The renovation was all consuming and we didn’t have a kitchen for months, so not a lot of cooking was happening.

I like to think I’m pretty good in the kitchen, but making time for it is tough. We aren’t good about planning and shopping ahead. Whenever we do, we seem to end up with a lot of spoiled food because we don’t get to using it in time. So we do like the French and try to only buy what we need when we need it. But after a long day at work, the last thing I want to do is think about what to cook and go to the grocery store.

So we get Sun Basket a lot because it takes the planning and shopping out of the process. We’ve tried other meal kit services, but none have compared to Sun Basket in variety and ability to accommodate our tricky diets (I’m pescetarian and my husband tries to eat paleo/keto, so most of our meals at home are seafood and vegetables). It’s also fun because it introduces us to new techniques and flavors, like this mushroom stuffed sole with red pepper cashew crema and roasted broccolini. I mean, have you see a prettier sole?! If you haven’t tried Sun Basket, you can use this link to get $40 off your first order! This is not a sponsored post, I just wanted to share something I love! Happy cooking!

(And I promise I’ll try to start bringing you some original recipes!)
