I can’t believe it’s been a month since we got married. It feels like it was not that long ago while also feeling like a distant dream. Married life doesn’t feel much different, but it is fun to say husband! We came back from our honeymoon with a mission to get our house in order. It will take some time before it’s fully decorated, but it’s slowly coming together!

I stole the idea for the rug in my dressing room from the Airbnb we stayed at over our wedding weekend. I loved how the soft muted colors looked with the bright white walls and warm furniture, and it felt like it would be wonderfully inviting in a space I’ll use every morning. We’ll probably never get as much light in Seattle as we did in Southern California, but I can imagine :-). Apparently this is very popular rug from World Market, and my sister actually owns it too, but it’s beautiful, affordable and eco-conscious because it’s made from recycled plastic bottles – so what’s not to love!
