It’s hard to take a picture that does justice to the new paint color in our bedroom, but I am SOOO in love. When I came home and saw it completed yesterday I literally jumped for joy, which is uncharacteristic for me. I’ve had paint regrets before so I was nervous about this choice but it came out just as I imagined! The color is Benjamin Moore Dark Harbor. It also makes me like the color of our hardwood floors more. I don’t love the dated orangey tint of the floor, but it is original and in good condition so we are keeping it as is for now. Can’t wait to get the furniture in and start decorating! We’re going to need new bedding and a rug to go with the walls. It’s a shame because I really hate shopping š.
Also, we’re supposed to get up to 6 inches of snow today in Seattle, with another storm possibly coming Sunday!! Potentially the most snow in 30 years. Needless to say, the city is not well equipped for this, so if it happens we’ll likely be snowed in all weekend. Everyone worked from home today and there were essentially apocalyptic runs on the grocery store last night. We even heard about a fight than ensued over the last loaf of Marina bakery raisin bread at Met Market; so Seattle lol. We did our own stock up on groceries last night. We don’t normally buy a lot of groceries at once, preferring to buy most things for immediate consumption, so it was weird to spend $200+ in one run. Our basket was hilarious (and super bougey) because I’d picked out four different forms of salmon (raw sockeye filet, three different types of smoked salmon) and the hubby had four kinds of meat (carne asada, chorizo and two types of cured meats). We should probably have enough food to survive, but everywhere was also out of snow shovels so we might be trapped for a bit. Snowmaggedon here we come!
We clearly need to dust off our dresser but I love how the rich walnut looks with the wall color!
